Gifts for Priest Lake Lovers: 19 Ideas They'll Actually Use

Clear blue lake with a rocky shoreline, pines, and birch trees on a summer day

The best gifts for someone who loves Priest Lake celebrate the drive up Highway 57 or get them back to the lake: a "Highway 57 North, Highway to my Happy Place" hoodie, a road-sign ornament for the tree, a trucker hat with the lake's outline, or a real Priest Lake experience like a Hill's Resort getaway for two, an Elkins Resort gift card, or a guided snowmobile tour this winter.

Priest Lake is about 23,000 acres of clear, cold water in the Idaho Panhandle, roughly 19 miles long and more than 300 feet deep, with seven islands and a narrow, no-wake Thorofare to Upper Priest Lake (Idaho Fish and Game, Idaho Parks and Recreation). Below are 19 gift ideas for the people who love it, grouped by who you're shopping for. Every product links to its own page, and every local business has a website and a Google Maps link.

Local Priest Lake experience gifts

Experience gifts are perfect for people who already have everything. Every option below was checked on the business's or agency's own website in October 2026. Boating at Priest Lake is a summer thing, so boat gifts are for 2027, but the lake has plenty to give this winter too.

14. A winter day on the trails

Priest Lake's snow season is a gift in itself:

  • Cross-country skiing: The groomed trails at Hanna Flats, the Priest Lake Golf Course, and Indian Creek all require an Idaho Park N' Ski pass: $25 for the season or $7.50 for three days. Hill's Resort is the hub of the golf course trail system and rents cross-country skis and snowshoes.
  • A guided snowmobile tour: Priest Lake Adventures in Coolin rents a new-for-2025/26 fleet of snowmobiles, helmets and goggles included in the rental, and runs guided tours (the main tour is 3 hours) that leave right from the shop. Prices are shown when you book; ask about the minimum driver age, and note that most tours need at least two machines.

16. A Priest Lake State Park cabin or pass

Passes make an easy add-on:

  • Out-of-state visitors pay $14 a day to drive into Priest Lake State Park (double the usual $7), so the $80 annual Motor Vehicle Entry Fee sticker pays for itself in about six visits. It's sold online and at any Idaho state park.
  • Idaho residents can add the $10 Idaho State Parks Passport when they register their vehicle, which covers day use at every Idaho state park (but not Park N' Ski).

Priest Lake gave up Idaho's state-record Mackinaw, 57 1/2 pounds, in 1971 (Priest Lake Chamber), and Idaho Fish and Game says anglers can routinely catch a limit of six lake trout in the 16 to 22 inch range. Fins & Feathers, a Coeur d'Alene guide service, runs full-day (8-hour) Priest Lake trips for $950, with all gear, bait, and tackle provided, $100 for each person after 4 (up to 6), and kids 13 and under fishing free with an adult. Everyone 14 and older needs an Idaho fishing license: $30.50 for a resident adult and $108 for a nonresident for the year (as of October 2026, plus fees). Idaho residents can only buy a resident license for themselves, a spouse, or their kids under 18, so Fish and Game has sold license gift certificates at its offices (IDFG). Call the Panhandle office at 208-769-1414 to confirm.

19. Small Priest Lake gifts

Good to know: In Idaho, children 14 and under must wear a life jacket on boats 19 feet or shorter while underway, and Idaho's water averages 52 degrees even in summer (Idaho Parks and Recreation).

How to pick the right Priest Lake gift

  • Not sure of their size? Go with the trucker hat, ornaments, canvas, or puzzle.
  • They have a cabin? Decor (canvas, puzzle, pillow, ornament) always finds a place.
  • They have everything? Pick an experience: a Hill's getaway, an Elkins gift card, a snowmobile tour, or a lake trout trip.
  • Order ahead for the holidays. Our products are made to order, and we estimate delivery in about a week, so give yourself extra time in December.
